Dr. Lakshmanan. M is a highly accomplished academician and researcher with over 24 years of teaching experience and 18 years of research expertise. He holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madras University, an M.E. in Communication Systems from Anna University, and a Ph.D. from VIT University.
Currently, he serves as Professor and Director IQAC at Karnavati University, Gujarat, India. Dr. Lakshmanan is a NAAC Assessor in the peer team visit. He is a recognized expert in NBA, NAAC & ABET Accreditation, and NIRF, THE & QS Ranking. He has mentored numerous professional institutions and universities across the nation to achieve the highest grades and ranks in accreditation and rankings respectively.
With a Senior Member status in IEEE and UACEE, and fellow in IETE and IEI, he also holds Life Memberships in ISTE, ACM, IACSIT, and IAENG. Dr. Lakshmanan is an Executive Committee Member of IETE Noida Section since July 2022.
Dr. Lakshmanan successfully supervised three Ph.D. scholars to completion. His extensive research contributions include over 100 papers published in reputed SCI/SCIE/ESCI and Scopus indexed journals, along with 4 patents published in India and 2 patents granted in Australia. He is a sought-after speaker, having delivered more than 50 keynote talks and invited lectures in various FDPs, workshops, and seminars. Actively involved as a reviewer for SCI/SCIE and Scopus indexed journals, he has reviewed more than 200 papers.
Dr. Lakshmanan has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Best Administrator Award and Best Researcher Award for 2024 awarded by The Innovative and Advanced Multidisciplinary Research Foundation (IAMRF) in collaboration with the Prerna Education Research Society, Award of Excellence in Research for 2022-23 in National Faculty Award, Researcher of the Year Award (Engineering, Male) for 2021 in 3rd International Business & Academic Excellence Awards, Best Researcher Award for 2021 in International Excellence Award, and the Award of Emerging Leader for 2018 in Higher Education Leadership Meet – 2018 (HELA 2018). Additionally, he has been honored with the Active Researcher award five times from VIT University.
His current research interests span Wireless Communication and Networks, Security Algorithms, Device to Device Communications, Digital Communication, Information Theory and Coding, Signal and Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning.
